The inception of ESAF was propelled by the growing unemployment among the educated youth. ESAF initiates Park twinning programme at Nagpur ESAF initiates Park twinning programme at Nagpur ESAF initiated an SHG - Park twinning programme, in which the local SHG members and others from the same community were empowered to make efforts towards utilizing park facilities in their neighbourhood. The impact was so profound that more people now know about the presence of such a park in their neighbourhood, and people were actively involved in utilizing the park towards its optimum potential. Kochi: ESAF Microfinance has emerged as the No.1 National Pension Scheme (NPS) aggregator during the financial year 2014-15. The NPS is a defined-contribution pension system operated by the Government of India. In 2004, the Government of India decided to move from a defined-benefit pension system to a defined-contribution pension system. It is an attempt towards finding a sustainable solution to the problem of providing adequate retirement income to every citizen in India.
