ESAF had a humble beginning in 1992 with a small office in Thrissur, Kerala, launched by a group of like minded social entrepreneurs. The inception of ESAF was propelled by the growing unemployment among the educated youth. ESAF Organizes Anemia Prevention Training Program ESAF Organizes Anemia Prevention Training Program ESAF has organized anemia prevention and control program at Sonpipri village (Chhindwara branch) in Madhya Pradesh on August 05, 2016. 35 women beneficiaries were participated in the training programme. Bhagwati Parteki, ANM Nurse of Sonpipri PHC Center, inaugurated the programme and Lalita and Sushma Asha were the chief guests. Soap and phenoyl making training were given at Tumsarand Velanthavalam branches and 85 members were benefitted from the programs.  Althaur and Valapad branches gave training on candle making and 50 members were benefitted. FMO manages several Private Sector Development Programs on behalf of the Dutch Government and the MASSIF Fund is an initiative on similar lines. The Protocol of Results and Evaluability calls for an impact assessment with the objective of understanding the effects of green loans on end users. ESAF organizes Anemia Prevention and Control Program ESAF organizes Anemia Prevention and Control Program In another customer oriented initiative, ESAF has organized anemia prevention and control program at Chhindwara branch in Madhya Pradesh. In the first phase of the program, 188 women beneficiaries from three remote villages, Sonpipari, Parasiya and Megheseoni, participated. Nearly 70% women participants were identified with anemia levels ranging from mild to moderate & severe. Immediate medical action was required for 30 odd clients.
