ESAF 'Lahanti' wins National Award
Kochi: The quarterly newsletter of ESAF 'LAHANTI' has won the ‘Best Content’ Award (NiB Award) among corporate journals in India. This is a National Award supported by PR Council of India (PRCI) Kerala Chapter and Press Club, Ernakulam. Considering the fact that most other Award winners include corporate behemoths like Reserve Bank of India, Bank of India, Cochin Refineries and a few other PSUs, this is a significant achievement. Oommen Chandy, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, handed over the award in a colourful ceremony organised at Taj Residency, Kochi on Feb 21, 2015. Other attendees included K. Babu, Minister for Fisheries, Excise and Port, K.V. Thomas, Member of Parliament, Kochi and Hibi Eden, MLA Ernakulam. K. Paul Thomas, Chairman and Managing Director, ESAF Microfinance received the award along with Sony V. Mathew, Editor LAHANTI and Consultant – Branding and Communications, ESAF Microfinance. K. Paul Thomas later said that this is another feather in the cap for all ESAFians. He also congratulated the entire Communications team for their respective roles in coming out with such a quality output. He specially congratulated Sony V. Mathew the editor of the magazine for his lead role in the initiative.
